How much money can a 5 gallon bucket hold? We would like to find out. This challenge is a community wide event between local churches. We are challenging you to see how much money your church youth ministry can collect to help children be able to return to school in Haiti. Worldwide Christian Schools is an organization that supports schools in Haiti.
Currently there are:
· 200 schools destroyed or damaged
· 1,500—2,000 teachers with no livelihood or income
· 60,000 children traumatized by the earthquake, devastation and lack of hope
The dates of this event will be from February 7-April 4. You can raise money through fundraisers, offerings, donations, matching donations, and any other idea’s you may have. This event is planned with long term implications. This could be a yearly fundraisers as the needs in Haiti will continue for years to come. This also has the potential of setting up a service project to help rebuild these schools over the next few years. The winning church will receive a traveling trophy as well as t-shirts.
All money collected will be donated through Worldwide Christian Schools and forwarded through their reliable partner, CRECH Christian School network, a Haiti based ministry.
