Core Beliefs at Friendship Chapel
We believe:
- In one triune God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
- The Bible is our absolute authority for faith and practice
- That because of sin, all mankind is in need of being restored to relationship with God, and that restoration is offered freely to all through Jesus Christ as our only means of salvation.
- That the Church is universal, including all who acknowledge and have personally received Jesus Christ as their only means of salvation.
- That the Church must proclaim the gospel message of salvation and disciple believers toward obedience and Christ-likeness in their faith and action.
- That the Church must represent God's love, offering hope and healing to a hurting world.
- That the person of the Holy Spirit is an active agent of renewal, growth, and power in the life of the Church and individual believers.
- That all believers are empowered with spiritual gifts and those gifts are to be used for building up the Body of Christ and fulfilling our ministry calling.
- That prayer is foundational to all areas of ministry and growth in the life of the Church and individual believers.
- That Jesus Christ is the resurrected Lord and will return in glory to receive the Church and bring to completion His eternal Kingdom in the context of a new heaven and new earth.
